Scholarship Program

Purpose
The goal of this progr= am is to identify the best merit and poorest of the poor students and offer them financial help needed to pursue higher studies. Applicants from the Govt schools/colleges are= given high priority since the reason they are not in Private institutions is because of their financial constraints. Each year we invite applications = for fresh as well as renewal scholarships.

Selection Process and Scholarship Distribution

The first step is t= o sort out the applications on merit and then on financial background basis. The short-listed (best percentage/rank and least income) candidates along with the parent/guardians are called in for a perso= nal interview. The student’s academic history as well as the parents’ financial position is assessed during the interview proces= s. Further check is performed by contacting the school/college headmaster/headmistress/principal about the student’s behavior, con= duct and general appearance. In most cases, our volunteers even go to the student’s native village/town and inquire locally to get a clear picture of the family’s financial position.

After that, the final list of candidates is prepared by the committee. The scholarship amount is decided for each student based on his/her financial needs and other resources he/she has got.

The scholarship is renewed each year only if the student shows consistent performance in his/her studies. The marks/results are reviewed by the committee members before announcing the renewal each year.

The amount of schol= arship and number of scholarships can be determined by Sponsor/Donor.

This scholarship is provided on loan basis, which student should repay after he/she gainfully employed.
